Mark Stone, and his new bride Kathy, enjoyed a simple, quiet life raising chickens in rural Ohio. But the peace and tranquility of their new life is disrupted when Kathy begins to show symptoms of dementia. Mark is determined to take care of his wife. As Kathy's symptoms worsen, he is forced into a new role as a full time caregiver.
